Today, May 12, 2023, will be the eighth anniversary of the Frankford Junction Amtrak derailment (eight dead) in North Philadelphia. The wreck happened on the anniversary of the 1899 Exeter Horror (29 dead), which took place only six miles southeast of Reading, the area Taylor Swift is from. Swift tour is in Philadelphia today. But then I was concerned last week, too, her being in Nashville (where the Covenant School attack happened) on the 150th birthday of President McKinley's assassin (recall the assassin was born the day after the Truesdell bridge disaster). The Frankford Junction derailment happened at pretty much the exact same spot as the September 6, 1943, Congressional train wreck (79 dead), which took place on the anniversary of McKinley's 1901 assassination.
The northeast corner of Northside Hospital in Atlanta's Midtown is at 13th and W. Peachtree NW. Margaret Mitchell was killed by an off-duty cab driver while crossing the street, according to official dogma, at a quite homonymous intersection located 500 yards due east, namely at 13th and Peachtree NE. (The driver whose car hit Mitchell claimed that Mitchell was jaywalking between 13th and 14th rather than crossing at 13th. James Earl Ray's rooming house that he rented a few days before killing MLK was on 14th near its intersection with Peachtree NE.) There was a mass shooting at this Northside Hospital on May 3. Swift's tour had been to Atlanta the previous weekend. On May 6, the anniversary of the Hindenburg disaster, which recall is a possible reference of the Covenant School shooting given its location near Trimble Ave, there was a mass shooting in Allen, Texas. Allen is a suburb of Dallas, where recall I thought the miscreants most wanted to do mischief. Recall that Holly Piirainen was taken at the intersection of Allen and South Shore. The perpetrator in the Allen shooting had been staying at the Budget Suites Hotel at 8150 N. Stemmons Freeway. JFK was about to turn onto the Stemmons Freeway when he was gunned down at Dealey Plaza, and the freeway led from there to both the Trade Mart where he was to have had a luncheon and speech and also Parkland Hospital, where he was declared dead thirty minutes after being shot. Possibly this month's mass shootings in Atlanta and Allen were secondary targets chosen because Swift and her concerts have stellar security. Or admittedly it could be coincidence. Anyway, I seriously doubt any serious mischief will happen at the concerts, but you never know, I guess.
